So basically in my car currently I have 3 different shades of red, 3 shades of black (got to be an archer reference in there somewhere.) and a brown. Now on top of that, they all have 45 years of use on them so the vinyl has faded in places and is pretty grubby.

So having looked over the internet, I chose the Glipstone one as it seemed to be one of the simplest, with best reviews. It turned up today, and I have started trying to use it on my headrest. The process involves cleaning it, applying a softening cream and then cleaning again. I am currently only up to the softening cream as that has to be left at least overnight (it's only a headrest and after an hour it looks promising). It already looks pretty pretty nice and the vinyl weirdly smells like leather, not that I'm complaining.

Before (technically the other side, however i forgot to take a before picture..):

After cleaning up:

Should I continue trying to update on this? Basically I would hope to have started trying to die it tomorrow but I can't be sure.

Very interesting! I've always wondered about old/weathered/worn seat repair!

As I mentioned, they were the other side, and the after side is marginally better quality. Although it had a similar effect (except the single scuff mark which is just actually cut into the vinyl so it wouldn't have an effect). But they are coming along nicely.

Yeah, currently all it needs to be looking good is the interior: I'll let you know how it goes then.

Yeah, it's a nice looking color on them also.

Seems like a good product.

Well i neglected to mention that i will be dyeing them black, this is just the prep stages and wanted to give a full overview. I also thought that their stuff did a pretty nice job and was worth noting, but unfortunately whilst i have some excellent red seats, my car wouldn't suit them so i want to dye them.

Yeah, it it's that silver Datsun, then that color wouldn't suit the car the best.

I wish, It's a dark blue volvo amazon. Quite hard finding a decent colour so I just went black as it will also hopefully give the best results.

Oh, whoops. That was just in the recommended section. The Amazon is a nice car, I like them almost as much as the P1800 Es. Haha.

Haha, I've decided depending on how life goes, hopefully one of my future cars will be either a P1800ES or lancia Delta Integrale (martini livery of course). Or both. Preferably both.

One day. Alternatively everyone in Oppo chips in and we share it. Alternates between Europe and America monthly?
